Tipp Born Rugby Players To Play Against Each Other In URC Clash

Tipperary born rugby players will be on opposing sides for Friday night’s URC clash between Munster and Ulster. Diarmuid Barron is to Captain the Munster Rugby team for the first time in the game to be played at Kingspan Stadium in Belfast. Bansha’s outhalf Jake Flannery is on the bench for the Ulster side. Loughmore’s Brian Gleeson is among the replacements for Munster.

Munster Rugby also announced today that Munster and Ireland winger Andrew Conway is to retire from rugby on medical advice. The 33-year-old lined out for Munster on 150 occasions, scoring 50 tries to become the province’s third-highest try-scorer of all time.

The Munster V Ulster game has a 7:35pm kick-off and can be viewed on RTE 2 and the RTE player.
