Munster Fleadh Cheoil 2024 To Be Held In Thurles

The Munster Fleadh Cheoil is to be held in Thurles in 2024.  For 2024 the event, which features performances and competitions, will be staged from July 15-21 and will be hosted by Tipperary County Board Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann. An exciting programme of events including concerts, gig-rig and street entertainment in Thurles will also take place alongside the Fleadh competitions

As Sunday, July 21st is clashing with the All-Ireland Hurling Final, competition days are changed, as was in Fleadh na Mumhan 2022, to be held on Wednesday-Saturday.

 All dancing competitions will be on Wednesday, July 17th and Thursday, July 18^th.

All music, singing, comhrá and storytelling competitions will be on Friday, July 19th and Saturday, July 20^th with no competitions on Sunday July 21^st.

The event was last held in Thurles in 1979.
