The Abbey School in Tipperary town are through to the All-Ireland Senior Schools B Football Championship Final. The semi-final against St Attracta’s of Tubbercurry, Sligo ended level at full time on a school line of Abbey 2 – 7 to St Attracta’s 13 points.
The game ended level after extra time with Abbey 3 – 10 to Attracta’s 19 points and then went to penalties. The Tipperary school emerged victorious on a 3 to nil scoreline. Abbey will now face St Joseph’s Grammar School from Dungannon in the Final to be played on March 11th.
