The incident occurred at approximately 1:40pm on Friday (Feb 3rd) in the Spafield area.

No injuries were reported to emergency services following this incident.

No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.

Meanwhile Fine Gael Councillor Declan Burgess says he is concerned about an increase in antisocial behaviour in Cashel –  especially with young males behaving in an intimidating manner.
Cllr Burgess was responding to an incident of alleged assault of a local man.
The man posted on his social media that he was attacked and kicked to the ground by a younger assailant.
The alleged victim says he doesn’t feel safe in the town anymore and is grateful that he did not have his young children with him at the time.
The man describes Cashel as a beautiful town and wants it to be safe for future generations.
Cllr Burgess has contacted the District office of An Garda Siochana to ask for additional resources for the town if necessary.
A visible presence of Garda on the streets is important at all times but especially when an incident such as this occurs concluded Cllr Burgess.
