Local Circle Of Friends Raises €2230 For Irish Cancer Society

Tipperary Town Circle of Friends Cancer Support centre has presented €2,230 to the Irish Cancer Society to support people with Breast Cancer.

The funds were raised at the Big Pink Breakfast event held at the Centre on Friday October 28th.

Staff and volunteers at the Centre organised the event which had a very strong pink theme and supported the “Care for Your Pair” Campaign being delivered by the Irish Cancer Society.

It is expected that the funds will be used to support Breast Cancer patients – in 2021 funds raised from this event nationally supported 254 Breast Cancer patients to avail of transport to attend 2,380 chemotherapy sessions, 154 Breast Cancer patients were provided with 514 nights of nursing care and 3,430 enquiries were handled by the Cancer Support line and the 13 Daffodil Centres Nationwide.

The Circle of Friends Cancer Support Centre offers a range of services to those with cancer, recovering from cancer and their family and friends.

The centre can be contacted Monday to Thursday between 10am – 4pm and on Fridays from 10am – 2pm on 062 33550.
