Tipperary Cahir Cashel MD is awaiting the specific details regarding the €100,000 in funding announced for Tipperary Town yesterday under the Streetscape Enhancement Initiative.
TMWR had sought details and criteria regarding eligible properties and the rate of grant aid that can be offered.
The funding was allocated from the Department of Rural and Community Development.
For now the Council anticipates than an online application process will be open to eligible applicants before the end of September.
The main focus of this initiative will be properties on Tipperary Main Street and Bank Place with particular emphasis on properties that require significant enhancement on the main thoroughfare of the town.
Every local authority in Ireland could nominate one town for the Enhancement Scheme in their respective county and Tipperary Town was nominated for 2022 by Tipperary County Council.
