Tipperary Tourism Planning for Bumper Year on Back of Royal Visit

Tipperary Tourism is encouraging those in the tourism industry in the Premier County to be prepared for the upcoming season.

Speaking with Tipp Mid West Radio earlier, Marie Phelan, the Dipperary Tourism Development Officer said the value of the exposure of the county during the Royal Visit last week was priceless.

26% of international visitors to Tipperary in 2019 came from Britain and the British Embassy is already predicting an increase on these numbers for 2022.

The sector has been badly hit by the disruption caused by the pandemic.

Those in the tourism sector are encouraged to become members of Tipperary Tourism and to participate in its networking and training events to ensure that cross selling of tourism products across the county is maximised.
