Home Economics Teacher Training For MIC, Thurles Discussed With Higher Education Minister

Minister for Higher Education, Simon Harris, has met with senior management of Mary Immaculate College, Thurles, to discuss the investment in the college in order to secure a new programme to train students to become Post-Primary Teachers in Home Economics.

The meeting, organised by Jackie Cahill TD, was held between Deputy Harris with President of MIC, Prof. Eugene Wall and Head of St. Patrick’s Campus, Thurles, Dr. Finn Ó Murchú. Investment in the Thurles campus was discussed, and Simon Harris agreed to engage with the Higher Education Authority in relation to investment opportunities fort third level education in Thurles.
