An agreement on redundancy terms has been reached between C&C and the Gleeson workforce in Borrisoleigh.
In January C&C announced plans to shut down its Borrisoleigh plant in a reorganisation of the business which included the moving of its base to the Clonmel premises.

120 jobs losses were announced at the Borrisoleigh plant, while 80 positions were to be created as part of the expansion in Clonmel.
This morning Independent TD Michael Lowry announced that the redundancy deal will mean that those laid off will be paid 5 weeks per year of service.
He also noted that he previously was told that the plant would be available for sale as a going concern once the issue of redundancy was dealt with.
