Repossession orders granted in Tipperary stood at 45 between January and June this year.

The number of repossession orders granted in Co Tipperary stood at 45 between January and June of this year, almost equalling the total number of orders granted in all of last year.
That was according to Independent TD Michael Lowry this morning as he called for new legislation to further help out those experiencing difficulties with their mortgages.
Figures he has in his possession reveal that in 2014 the circuit courts in Co Tipperary received 341 applications for repossession.  48 were granted.

So far this year around 400 applications were lodged and in the first six months, between January and June, 45 were granted.
Deputy Lowry has called for new legislation to be drawn up that would allow people who are experiencing difficulties, some space to get their finances back in order…
