Today’s announcement that 200 jobs are to be created at a customer services company in Clonmel is, according to local TD Tom Hayes, a sign that the focus of industry is finally moving away from the capital.
This morning, Eishtec, a Waterford-based customer service solution provider announced that it plans to build a new centre in Clonmel.

The 200 positions in customer service support for the UK market are to be filled over the course of the next six months.
In making the announcement, Eishtec owner and operations director Heather Reynolds spoke of the large pool of talent available in the region, especially in the areas of customer service and telecommunications.
Welcoming today’s announcement, Deputy TD Hayes said that the fact the company has chosen to base itself outside Dublin is noteworthy in itself.
