Nearly a million-and-a-half euro in additional funding has been approved for road improvements in Co Tipperary.
The announcement was made today after members of Tipperary County Council travelled to Dublin recently to meet with the Transport Minister in relation to the poor condition of some roads in the county
Tipperary County Council witnessed a reduction in the overall funding allocation for roads this year and the quality of the roads has been deteriorating as a result.
Announcing the €1,395,250 in additional funding today, Minister Alan Kelly said he hopes it will have a ‘positive economic impact on business in Tipperary’ and ‘make safer conditions for road users’.
