Tipperary’s Emergency Departments are under pressure with increased numbers waiting on trolleys.

University Hospital Limerick which caters for North Tipp has 54 patients waiting for beds while South Tipperary’s General in Clonmel stands at 9.

An Outbreak of the Winter Vomiting Bug has led to a visiting ban at South Tipperary General Hospital.

No visitors are being allowed into the wards at the hospital the only exception is for critical care patients and emergency circumstances.
