Emergency funding needed to prevent closure of local nursing homes.

Tipperary’s Government representatives are being urged to secure emergency funding to prevent the closure of two local nursing homes.

A recent HSE report highlighted 21 facilities, including two in North Tipperary which are in danger of shutting down.

They have been issued warnings by the HIQA (the health watchdog) recently.

Deputy Seamus Healy has called on Minister Varadker to ensure funding is put in place to bring these units up to the standard required.
