The €650,000 payment that Deputy Lowry was ordered to pay a firm of chartered accountants has been temporarily put aside pending the outcome of a full hearing of proceedings brought against him by the firm in question.
BBT Chartered Accountants had sought a judgement for €1.74 million against Mr Lowry for fees run up in the course of the Moriarty Tribunal.
However €650,000 was granted against Mr Lowry with the remainder being the subject of a full hearing.
It has now been decided by Master Edmund Honohan to grant a stay of execution of the judgment until the proceeding relating to the remainder of the alleged debt is concluded.
