Funding allocated for other road projects

According to Junior Minister at the Department of Transport Alan kelly the money allocated towards the rejected road system in Tipperary Town will now go to road projects throughout the county.

Minister Kelly said he has spoken to officials at his Department after Tipperary Town councils rejected the proposed traffic management plan for which €530,000 was earmarked.

He said the funding will remain in place for alternative South Tipperary road projects and he is working with officials to identify which projects will be included.

It means money is now likely to be distributed throughout the county and will no longer be earmarked for traffic management in Tipperary Town
