South Tipperary County Council have issued a dry weather warning notice, taking into account the ongoing warm and dry weather.

In the interests of the conservation of water, the council have found it necessary to deploy some operational changes to the public water supply networks.

These changes include pressure reductions during the day or night and the the turning on of additional borehole supplies at Farnamanagh, Thomastown and Mullinahone and other areas.

This can result in hard water at times.

It is also anticipated that there could be a higher level of interuptions to supply due to plumbing repairs resulting from increased demand.

customers may also at times experience some planned interuptions to supply for short periods which may be required to conserve supply.

The council is also asking anyone who may be aware of a leak in their area to inform the council of the problem
