Agricultural community campaign

Hundreds of people from Tipperary North and South attended yesterday's demonstration in Dublin where the agricultural community campaigned against any further cuts to the sector.

Farmers from across the country attended the protest to voice concerns at the possibility of further cuts within the agriculture budget as well as the repercussions of reform with the Common Agriculture Policy

Speaking to Tipperary Mid West Radio IFA representative for Tipperary South, George Mason, said that the fears are so acute that as many as 600 people from County Tipperary attended the protest at which as many as 20,000 people took to the streets.
