The main issue that tenants in rented accomodation in Munster and County Tipperary have when contacting the Threshold agency is landlords holding on to their deposits.
That is according to the organisation which fights for the rights of tenants.
Also, among the issues most frequently reported to the organisation were invalid notices and illegal evictions.
The Manager of the southern branch of Threshold, Diarmuid O’Sullivan has said that the continuation of such actions could result in people becoming homeless.
