Garda say the search for man missing from Carrick on Suir has ended following the discovery of a body. A number of search and rescue teams and community members have been helping in the search for 69 year old Matthew Shanahan. Mr Shanahan was last seen at his home in Carrick on Suir on November 15th.
Tipperary Search and Rescue team along with teams from Carrick River Rescue, Wexford K-9 Search and Rescue, Mallow Search and Rescue, Irish Coast Guard, Tramore and Dunmore East Coast Guard and Tipperary Civil Defence all assisted in the search operation along the River Suir.
An Garda Síochána is thanking the media and the public for their assistance.
