The mother of Michael Dwyer returns from five day trip to Bolivia

The mother of Michael Dwyer has said that the bolivian government has indicated that it will engage with the Dwyer family in establishing why he was killed in a hotel room in the country's capital.

Caroline Dwyer was speaking at the end of a five day trip to Bolivia during which she and her daughter Aisling were seeking answers regarding her son's death.

In the course of their visit to the country the Dwyers visited the room in which Michael was shot dead and they attended the trial of the men who were arrested during the operation which resulted in Michael's death 

They also met with representatives of the Bolivian government in La Paz to whom they expressed their grievence over Michael's death and requested an independent international investigation.

In response they were told that other processes could be considered once the trial was complete.
