More representation for non-unionised workers

Labour Senator Denis Landy has welcomed new measures by the government that aim to give more representation to non-unionised workers.

The legislation which has been approved by the government will support the right of workers to participate in collective bargaining with their employers, even if those employers do not recognise unions.

Responding to the development, Senator Landy said it represents a good day for the Labour movement and the Labour party as it was a matter included in the party’s manifesto.
