Redrawing of Constituencies

North Tipperary Fine Gael TD, Noel Coonan, has said that the redrawing of constituencies is less than satisfactory

Speaking on Tipperary Mid West Radio today Deputy Coonan said he is less than happy with the fact that thousands of constituents have been transferred in the Offaly constituencey as a result of the boundary change

Meanwhile, Independent Deputy, Michael Noonan, has also said that in his opinion there was no need for change in Tipperary.

He added that before the commission report was ever published the government had signalled that Tipperary could be reduced to a five seat constituenc y.

He added that as a result, thousands of people will have to change constituency just to make the numbers fit
