British Ambassador to visit Cashel

The newly appointd British Ambassador to Ireland will visit Cashel next Friday, May 18th, upon an invitation from Fine Gael Deputy Tom Hayes.

The invitation was issued to Dominick Chilcott following what was widely viewed as a successful visit to the town by HM Queen Elizabeth II.

Deputy Hayes said that not only was the visit important for Ireland’s relationship with the UK, but it has also boosted tourism numbers.

Visitors to the Rock are up and last year, there was a 5.2% increase in British Tourism nationally.

An itenery is currently being drawn up for the visit which will take place next Friday, May 18th
