Appeal to EU in quest for justice

A Co. Tipperary family whose son was killed by government forces in Bolivia in 2009 are to travel to the European Parliment where they will appeal for the EU to support them in their quest for justice.   Michael Dwyer was killed by Bolivian security forces in the Bolivian capital Santa Cruz on April 16th, 2009.

The family are concerned that, as the third anniversary of their son’s death approaches evidence surrounding his killing may begin to fall away.   They are particularly concerned that there has not been a comprehensive investigation into Michael’s killing.

The Dwyer family believe that the European Union can exercise some pressure in bringing about accountability and answers surrounding Michael’s death.
