Irish Water has issued a boil water notice to an area of the county receiving water supplied from the Springmount source on the Galtee Supply.
The utility company says that it is acting upon advice given to it by the HSE, and as a precautionary measure, has issued the advisory, pending further investigation.
As such, it is recommending that users served exclusively from the Springmount Source only, boil water before use. The system affected extends from the eastern side of Golden to the western side of Cashel.
The notice does not apply to all users of the Galtee Public Water Service.
