Aldi’s store in Cashel is to reopen today after an extensive renovation project worth almost €1M which has seen the store interior completely refurbished.
The new layout has a special emphasis on fresh produce such as fruit and vegetables and baked goods.
The store has received a full makeover in line with ALDI’s award-winning Project Fresh design, which was recognised at the National Grocery Retail Awards when ALDI won the Discounter Store of the Year award in 2022.

The entire store network is now powered by 100% wind generated energy.
The renovated Cashel store has also received a CO2 upgrade, meaning there will be a more environmentally friendly refrigerant in store. This year, ALDI has invested €7.2 million in upgrading 6 of its stores throughout the country and is currently expanding and upgrading the store in Tipperary Town.
ALDI employs over 152 permanent staff members in 8 stores across county Tipperary, spending €4.8M on wages annually in addition to purchasing goods from 330 Irish suppliers nationwide.
