The CEO of the Citizens Information Board has said that people who avail of the services of the Money Advice and Budgeting Service and the Citizens Information Services will not be affected by a planned reduction in the number of boards running the two organisations.
Angela Black was speaking about a decision to cut the number of boards operating the services from 93 to 16.
Meetings on the matter are taking place across the country with one being held tomorrow at Ballykisteen Hotel.
She says the decision has been made to make the service more efficient and will improve the overall running of the service – not take away from it. No jobs will be lost, she says, and no services will be affected.
