An Emergency Blood Donation Clinic is to be held in Thurles on Sunday as the Irish Blood Transfusion Service(IBTS) reports that blood stocks are low and at critical levels for B negative, O negative and O positive type blood. Stocks of A negative and A positive are also lower than desired.
The service held four clinics already in Thurles this week and is appealing for a generous response from the public. The clinic will run from 11.50am with the latest start time for an appointment set at 3.10pm on Sunday June 29th in the Dome, near Semple Stadium (Eircode E41 V656) in Thurles. New donors would be especially welcome. Appointments can be made by calling 1800 222 111.
