Cashel based Cllr Declan Burgess says all elements have been carefully designed to honour the landscape and the historical significance of the site. The project will cost approximately €545,000 and €495,000 is provided by the Government under the Town & Village Renewal Scheme. The tender process is almost complete, with the contractor to start work in September with a completion date of late 2025 or early 2026.

There is currently another funding application sent to the Department to deliver further works.

The Park is intended to assist the flow of visitors between the Rock of Cashel and the town centre and be an amenity for local people.
