Gerry Duffy To Join Tipp Mid West Radio As Part Of The Friday Morning Call Team

Gerry Duffy will be the presenter of Morning Call from Halla Na Féile, Cashel as part of a Friday morning team with Seamus King on alternate Fridays. Long-time Cashel presenter Anne Devitt retired earlier this year and Gerry will now take over this edition of Morning Call and will be on air tomorrow morning.

Mr Duffy a native of Dublin, has been living in Tipperary since 1978.  Since he retired from working as a Cartographer with Ordnance Survey Ireland in 2020 he has undertaken a course in Radio Broadcasting at WIT (SETU) and at WLR Radio Station compiling a podcast as part of his training.

Gerry lives in Cahir and is deeply involved in his community as a founder member of the Cahir Development Association, as Cathaoirleach of Cahir Comhaltas, as Fear an Tí for the Summer Seisiún in Cahir Castle and has also been involved as Master of Ceremonies for many other local Festivals and events.

Over the course of many years Gerry’s community involvement in local organisations such as  Tidy Towns, Lions Club, Junior Chamber, Festival committees, Cahir Tourism and the annual St Patrick’s Day Parade along with his interest in  Sports especially Cycling, Traditional Irish Music, Photography, Current affairs and Local Events leave him well placed to present Morning Call.
