Drivers in Tipperary town are advised that a water leak on Davis Street is ongoing and that a portion of the road has sunken near Fitzpatrick Printers. The leak in the water pipe is releasing water at both sides of the road. The water is flowing into nearby gulleys so there is no flooding on the road apart from the sunken portion at Fitzpatrick’s.

The fault was reported to Uisce Eireann and Tipperary County Council yesterday but no warning signs have been put in place and no repairs have been attempted to date.
Staff from Shareridge working on behalf of Uisce Eireann are on Bridge Street today to install a new sewage pipe and access point. This issue has been causing sewerage to leak on Davis Street close to the traffic lights at the N24/Main Street junction.

A Stop and Go Traffic management system will be put in place for the works and drivers are asked to drive with caution and to expect some short delays.
