Tipperary Age Friendly is holding it’s annual showcase about positive ageing in TUS campus on the Nenagh road in Thurles this afternoon. The free event runs from noon to 3pm.
The showcase aims to provide information about all aspects of life in Ireland to improve the well-being of Tipperary people as they age.The event is also a social occasion.
Attendees can visit over 70 information stands with information on health issues, recreation, education, legal, home safety and security, meals on wheels etc. There are also two venues with a series of speakers including solicitors, Active Retirement, Task Community Care, Family Carers Ireland and Fraud Smart.
At 12.30 the Templemore Active Retirement Choir will perform and John Mc Cormack will provide musical entertainment at 1.30pm.
