Scoil Chormaic in Cashel enjoyed a tremendously successful fundraising event on Saturday at Cashel Rugby Club.  The event was the culmination of  a four  month campaign to raise funds to upgrade the school’s bus fleet. Dancers included World Champion Irish Dancers, Line Dancers, Children’s Dance Academies, Sports Stars, Celebrities and local public representatives.

In addition to meeting and surpassing the target the Committee says the level of support and goodwill towards the school has been incredible from the Business, Sporting, Cultural and Political community and the family day at Cashel Rugby Club was a wonderful social occasion for everyone.

Cashel Rugby club is also acknowledging the event as “a brilliant and heartwarming community event. The energy, the support, and the togetherness on display were second to none.”  The Club’s recently installed lift and accessible toilets meant the clubhouse was fully inclusive and welcoming to all, ensuring everyone could take part and enjoy the day in comfort.

Over €105,000 has been raised to date with some events still to take place including a Golf Classic in Tipperary town Golf Club next weekend organised by two Grandparents of children attending the school.

Donations can also still be made on the iDonate page titled “Bop for our Buses”.

The final tally will be known in two weeks time just before the school goes on holiday for the Summer – today 22 children and 8 adults are undertaking a school tour to Spike Island in Cork.
