The Tipperary senior hurling team has been named for tomorrow’s Preliminary All Ireland Quarter Final against Laois.
Team Manager Liam Cahill has selected Rhys Shelly (Moycarkey Borris) in goal for the team Captained from centre back by Thurles Sarsfields’ Ronan Maher.
Robert Doyle (Clonoulty Rossmore) at right corner back is the only West Tipp man in the starting fifteen. Oisin O’Donoghue (Cashel King Cormacs) and Johnny Ryan (Arravale Rovers) are included in the match day panel.
The game at O’Moore Park in Portlaoise will throw in at 1.45pm. Laois qualified as beaten finalists in the Joe McDonagh Cup. The McDonagh Cup winners, Kildare, take on Dublin, who finished third in the Leinster Championship Round Robin Stage, in the other preliminary Quarter Final. The winners of the preliminary quarter finals will progress to take on Galway and Limerick in the Quarter Finals with Cork and Kilkenny already through to the semi-finals as Provincial Champions.
