Yesterday’s win for Kildare in the Joe McDonagh Cup means that Tipperary will now take on Laois, the defeated Joe McDonagh finalist, in a preliminary quarter final. Tipp’s match is expected to be set for O’Moore park in Portlaoise for Saturday evening June 14th – this will be confirmed later today.
Cork and Kilkenny senior hurling teams are through to the All Ireland Semi finals after winning the Munster and Leinster Provincial titles respectively over the weekend. Cork defeated Limerick in a historic and dramatic penalty shootout after the teams were tied after extra time.
Limerick will play the winners between Dublin and Kildare in a quarter final that could see them take on Kilkenny in a semi-final. If Tipperary defeat Laois, they will face Galway in a quarter final leading to a game with Cork in the semi-final. The 2025 All Ireland Hurling Final is set for 20th July.
