Water Supply Restored To Customers On Galtee Regional Water Supply

301
Uisce Éireann reports that water supply has been restored to customers on the Galtee Regional Water Supply following a third burst in quick succession over the last three days.

While supply has returned to the majority of customers, those at the outskirts of the network and those on higher ground may experience low pressure as water begins to return.

The outage affected 3,000 customers at their peak and for some the weekend disruption came after two earlier outages on Monday and Wednesday last week.

Water tankers are to remain available to the public in Emly, Limerick Junction, and Cullen until Tuesday morning as a precaution.

Customers are reminded to use their own containers when taking water from tankers and to boil water before consumption as a precautionary measure.

There is a new mains burst today in the Kingswell area that is affecting Kingswell, Donohill, Grange and surrounding areas.

The company hopes to have these repairs completed by 2pm today.

Carrick on Suir is also suffering from outages caused by bursts on the water mains pipeline.

Water service crews have been dispatched and are carrying out the required repair according to Uisce Eireann however no estimated restoration time has been provided.

The company is reminding customers that they can register for a text notification service about outages by submitting their Eircode and phone number on the water.ie website.
