West Tipperary has been badly hit by water outages in recent days. Uisce Eireann says it has been dealing with 3 burst mains pipes and an issue at a pumping station. The areas impacted include Lisnagaul, Lisvernane, Bansha, Aherlow, Breanshmore, Mount Bruis, Kilross, Shronell, Ardlomen, Lattin, Glenbane, Limerick Junction, Emly, Ballycurrane, Clonpet and surrounding areas causing huge disruption to homes and businesses. Supply has now been restored to Cullen, Emly, Lattin, Cordangan and Bansha.

A fire in a garden shed close to a house in Lattin was managed yesterday by extra fire trucks responding due to the water outage – units from Tipperary town and Cashel attended. Tipperary town Golf Club was closed to the public on Sunday with over 200 lunch reservations cancelled in addition to members and walk-in business lost due to the water outage. Over the weekend water tankers were provided in Emly village, Limerick Junction and Lattin village in the meantime with Uisce Eireann customers highlighting the ongoing nature of the disruption to supply over many months. Uisce Eireann posts updates on the website water.ie and the customer care team can be contacted at 1 800 278 278.
