Tipperary Town AIB To Host Information Evening To Promote Awareness Of The AIB Community Fund

Tipperary Town Allied Irish Bank branch is to host an information  evening on Tuesday May 20th to promote awareness of the AIB Community Fund.

This one million euro fund is available for registered charities each year with the recipients  chosen by the bank’s customers, staff and members of the public. The funds are distributed following an online nomination process and are split between Munster, Ulster, Greater Dublin, the rest of Leinster, Connacht and the UK. The fund supports a diverse, broad range of charities who provide fantastic services to those who need it most.

Nominations must be made before the closing date of June 25th.  The charities that receive the highest number of nominations from customers, employees and the wider public in each region will be announced in September.  A shortlist of the charities being nominated will be produced and the charities in this list will be asked to make a presentation about how they would use the funds before the final decision is made on which charities will be allocated funds.

Branch manager Barbara Dunne stresses that charities or those nominating them do not have to be AIB customers, and that there is no requirement for any matching funding to be put forward.  To be in with a chance of being chosen the Bank is advising charities that are nominated to make an effort to gather support in the form of nominations from the wider public.

The information evening in the branch Main Street in Tipperary Town next Tuesday, will run from 6pm until 7.30pm for charities in the Tipperary area that are interested in learning  about the process and getting nominations from the local community for the AIB Community €1 Million Fund in 2025
