The Annual Poulmucka road races will take place this evening. There will be temporary traffic restrictions for a period of time starting at 7pm this evening on the local road from Whitelands Cross to Poulmucka for the duration of the two races –  an 8km road race and a 5km fun run.

Registration will start from 6.45m with the races to start at 7.30pm.  Chip timing is available for both races and there are a range of prizes for various age categories ranging from over 35 to over 60.  An added attraction tonight is the presence of the JJ Kenneally Perpetual Cup won by the Tipperary U20 Hurling team on Wednesday night. The organisers are conscious that there may be some extra traffic in the area this evening as supporters from Cork and Waterford travel to Thurles for the Munster Minor Hurling Final which throws in at 7.35pm.

The race is organised by the Poulmucka Sports and Social club in Association with Cahir Meet and Train group.
