Daniel O’ Donnell To Take Extended Break Next Year

 Irish Country Star Daniel O’Donnell is to take an extended break from performing next year. The 63 year old Donegal native says the decision is due to the health challenges he has faced over the past few years, particularly with allergies and recurrent chest infections while touring extensively.

Mr O’Donnell, who is married to Tipperary woman Majella Roche from Thurles, will continue his touring commitments until December 2025 with only two events planned for 2026. The performances next year comprise of hosting the annual Opry le Daniel TV show on TG4 and the Gertrude Byrne Mediterranean Cruise

Mr O’Donnell is emphasising that the pause in touring is  “not a retirement but rather a temporary break”.
