Drivers In The Tipperary Town Are Reminded Of Ongoing Roadworks On The N74 Cashel Road

Drivers in the Tipperary town area are reminded of ongoing roadworks on the N74 Cashel Road. As part of a €6M project the road is currently being resurfaced. Fr Matthew street also known as the Cashel road/N74 continues to operate as a one way street outbound.

At present the road surface is uneven with utility covers exposed. In parts the traffic has to cross to the other lane over an uneven and rough road surface.

Traffic lights are in operation between St Michael’s Graveyard and the town limits on the Cashel side. Work on upgrading the junction into St Michael’s Avenue is ongoing and the road is closed to traffic.

Footpaths are also being replaced in the St Michael’s Avenue Area.

The only entrance to the graveyard car park is at the side closest to town.

The car park is to be resurfaced to provide 38 marked parking spaces including spaces for disabled drivers.

Glas Civil Engineering hope to have the project completed by the end of May. ESB Network crews will remove overhead cabling in the coming weeks.

Full details of the project can be found on the dedicated website n74tipperarytown.ie.
