Cashel is to host two upcoming events being led by Tipperary County Council.
Bru Boru will be the venue for a Civic Reception on June 6th to honour the achievements of Clonmel Rower Daire Lynch in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The Clonmel Rowing Club member won a Bronze medal alongside teammate Philip Doyle in the double sculls rowing event.
Today’s Plenary Meeting also confirmed that Halla an Féile will host the Tipperary County Council AGM at 11am on June 27th.
The outgoing Cathaoirleach by tradition hosts the AGM in their home town.
Cllr Declan Burgess’s term will end as a Fianna Fáil Councillor is to take over under the terms of the power sharing agreement in place between Fianna Fail, Fine Gael and Labour since the 2024 local elections.
The three parties agreed to rotate the post of Cathaoirleach over the 5 year term of the Council.
