Tipperary County Council is now inviting developers to sell turnkey developments to the Council to meet Social Housing needs in any part of the county as long as the homes are close to services within an urban settlement/ town/ village and within walking distances of shops, schools and local amenities. The homes would also need to be in an area with an identified demand for social housing.

Despite having over 3,400 approved applicants on the Social Housing list Tipperary county council is offering only 3 houses on the Choice Based Letting(CBL) portal to potential tenants on the social housing list this week. The houses are in Clonmel, Newport and on St Ailbes Drive in Tipperary town. The houses can be viewed only by people that are approved for Social Housing and have registered to use the CBL system.
