Uisce Eireann are expected to respond to a water leak on Davis street, Tipperary town today.
Overnight tarmac was added to an ever expanding pot hole where the water has been accumulating over the last two weeks. There is a gully adjacent to the pothole which has prevented flooding at the site which is close to the traffic lights on the N24/Bridge/Davis Street Junction.
Uisce Eireann Contractors are to carry out a CCTV survey of the underground pipes in the area today to identify the source of the leak. The company expects that the issue relates to waste water that may be appearing on the street due to a blockage at a lower point on Bridge Street causing a backup of material. The leak has been reported to Uisce Eireann since April 15th.
