St Michael’s Church in Tipperary town is confirming that the gates of the Church yard will be closed tomorrow morning(Friday) due to a First Holy Communion Ceremony.
The gates will be closed until after the Ceremony which starts at 11.30am. Six children from the local Gaelscoil Thiobraid Árann will make their first Holy Communion tomorrow. The other national school children in the town will have their Holy Communion ceremony over the next 3 Fridays when a similar arrangement will be put in place for health and safety reasons.
Fr Eugene Everard, the Parish Priest at St Michael’s Church says closing the gates means that vehicles will not be able to park in the church grounds until approximately 1pm.
