People in Tipperary are being urged to register to vote.

National Voter Registration Day (NVRD) takes place on Wednesday, 30th April for its second year, with events taking place  to help eligible voters in Tipperary to get registered.

Through the collaboration of community leaders, groups, civil society organisations, and other stakeholders the initiative hopes to improve voter registration. People in Tipperary are being encouraged to visit the checktheregister.ie website to verify their eligibility to vote, register to vote and learn more about their voting rights.

The campaign aims to ensure that everyone who is eligible to vote is registered to vote, it will also inform underrepresented groups, disadvantaged communities, and young people across Ireland of their right to vote and how to register to vote and promote the importance of active citizenship and participating in the democratic process. Voters will have the next opportunity to vote in the upcoming Presidential Election which must be held by November 11th 2025.  The voter registration campaign is endorsed by the Electoral Commission.
