Tipperary Town Tidy Towns group is inviting members of the public to take part in a Spring Clean event on Saturday April 26th.

The group are asking anyone interested to help out in the Tipperary Hills Public Park to weed the 9 flowerbeds in the 23-acre park.  Any person or group that wishes to carry out a clean up of an area close to their residence or business or club facility can ask the Tidy Town Group to arrange collection of any litter or  rubbish they may collect.

Children in the Glenview Park area are carrying out a litter pick in respect of the area near the River walk after the council repaired the hoops on the basketball court near Glenview Square. Those intending help in the Tipperary Hills are asked to meet at the St Patrick’s Avenue entrance at 10am. Tipperary Tidy Towns group can be contacted via Facebook or by contacting the Chairperson Paul O’Callaghan.

The group will have additional resources in the coming weeks as three participants on the TUS employment scheme will assist with maintaining the Tipperary Hills and the River Ara Walkway.
