Monard Community Hall Venue For Information Event on Mental Health

Monard Community Hall is the venue for a major Mental Health Related information event on Wednesday April 23rd.  The event will begin at 7.30pm and all are welcome to attend.

The free information event is intended to share information about issues, supports and services that will benefit people that may be struggling with their mental health or for people that they may be supporting.

Katie Sheehan from Spin South West will host a Question and Answer session with a range of panellists from various Mental Health support services such as Jigsaw, C-Saw, Limerick Treaty Suicide Prevention Team, HUGG – Healing Untold Grief Group.  Information leaflets and contact details for a range of services will also be provided. Former Munster and Ireland Rugby Player Alan Quinlan will also speak at the event about his challenges with his own mental health.

If you need support for your mental health there are many services available free of charge such as Turn2Me.org offering 6 free one on one counselling sessions and further paid sessions if required. The HSE offers a service that can be contacted by texting HELLO to 50808. Pieta House offers a telephone support line available 24 hours everyday  at 1 800 247 247.
