Tipperary town will host two great Easter events on Saturday including an activity for Children.
The Trip Through Tipp Bike Run(including vintage and modified cars) takes place in aid of the South Tipperary Hospice. Former Chair of the Tipperary Vintage Rally Group Jack Leonard is one of the leading organisers and welcomes all participants to meet at the Plaza on the Limerick Road from noon onwards for registration. Supermacs is also sponsoring a meal for participants that register to take part.
The event will start at 2.30pm from the Plaza and travel through Main Street Tipperary town to Dundrum, Knockavilla, Golden, Lagganstown, Kilmoyler, Cahir (Stop at Woodview Service Station), Toureen, Rossadrehid, Kiely’s Cross, Lisvernane, Ballinacourty, Aherlow House Hotel, Christ the King Statue (Stop for Photos) Bansha via the Coach Road and back to Tipperary on the N24.
There is also an event for Children on Easter Saturday organised by the Tipperary town Business and Marketing Group. Children are invited to register to take part in an Easter Egg Hunt in the Abbey School Sports Field on Saturday afternoon starting at 3pm. For every five plastic eggs the children find they can collect a chocolate egg! The Easter Bunny will appreciate help from children to find the missing eggs. In addition, children are invited to visit Danny Ryan’s Music Shop in Bank Place to collect an entry form for a treasure hunt to find Easter Chicks in shop windows – the completed form can be returned on Saturday to Joe Whelan’s on Main Street no later than 4.45pm where one winner will be picked for a Special Easter Prize. The Tipperary Town Business and Marketing Group(Anne Whelan, Sharon O’Dwyer, Anne Hadnett and Siobhan Hyland Ryan) secured Council Funding of €1,000 to stage the event.
